Eye of the Tiger

Good morning ladies! Can you believe I actually have a fresh post for you today! This is a mani straight from the oven, so to speak, as I made this yesterday. This manicure was inspired by Kirsten of Glitta Gloves who was planning on her birthday manicure of Twitter including holographic polishes and animal prints. When I got home, I started moving polishes around. I had a gorgeous row of blues and turquoises on my desk already but the holographic animal print stayed on the back of my head and I couldn't let it go.

Huomenta! Tänään onkin luvassa harvinaista herkkua eli tuore postaus!

I ended up fishing up a-england "Princess Sabra", Nubar "Spark" and the two polishes from China Glaze's limited for ULTA collection, "Fireside Glow" and "Ultamate Holiday" which I haven't used yet. I started painting my nails with Princess Sabra which needed two coats for the suitable opacity. I went for an accent ring finger nail which I painted with Spark, using two coats again. I sponged Ultamate Holiday on the tips of Princess Sabra to give it some extra oomph and did the same on accent nail but using Fireside Glow. I couldn't resist taking a photo of the glow, obviously. ;)

Aloitin lakkaamalla Princess Sabralla kaikki muut kynnet paitsi nimettömän, laitoin kynsille kaksi kerrosta. Totta kai tästä ihanuudesta piti ottaa ihan erikseen kuvakin. ;)

Holo awesomeness!
I added a coat of Seche Vite to speed up the process, then went on with the stamping. On the ring finger, I selected the zebra/cheetah pattern from M78. I couldn't decide what to do with the rest of the nails, so I followed the example of the accent nail and used M57 with both cheetah and zebra separated and stamped the rest of my nails without thinking too much. lol

I do like how this one turned out to be! I love how the China Glaze holos give Princess Sabra and Spark some extra kick without being too over-powering. I especially like the Fireside Glow/Spark duo, so I might just have to redo this gradient with a different kind of nail art. I love the RUSTY look of this combination, so gorgeous. ;)

Ihanan ruosteinen lopputulos!

Basecoat: "Nail Envy" by OPI
Base colors: "Princess Sabra" by a-england, "Spark" by Nubar
Gradient: "Fireside Glow", "Ultamate Holiday" by China Glaze
Stamping polish: Konad special polish in black
Imageplates: M78, M57 by Konad
Topcoat: Seche Vite

Ps. Why this title? Because a-england's "Princess Sabra" is also known as "Tristam Eyes" which is Adina's gorgeous cat. So here we go, another feline reference thrown in. ;)
