Work appropriate manicure

Good morning ladies! Today I have a manicure for you that is very work appropriate yet pretty. I used one of the Nubar polishes I fell in love with, taupe Spark with the soft holo. I stamped the image from M64. I got the plate because Marta from ChitChat Nails told me to get it... So I did. ;) Without further babbling, I'm gonna keep this short!

Huomenta! Tänään on luvassa erittäin yksinkertainen "työlakkaus", mutta joka on myös nätti. Käytin yhtä Nubar-lakoista, joihin ihastuin, beige/hiekanruskea Spark, ihana pehmeä holo. Stamppasin kuvion laatasta M64, jonka hommasin ChitChat Nailsin Martan komennuksesta. Sen enempää höpisemättä, tässäpä tämä.

Basecoat: "Nail Envy" by OPI
Polish: "Spark" by Nubar
Imageplate: M64 by Konad
Stamping polish: white by Konad
Topcoat: Seche Vite

Do you have "dress code" for work, do you need watch what kind of manicure you wear on work days?
Onko sinulla "pukeutumiskoodi" töissä, joka vaikuttaa kynsiisi? Vai saatko hullutella vapaasti?

    1. Thank you so much! I truly adore Spark. It's that typical, taupe polish with just enough extra to be special. <3

  2. This is one of my favourite images, I love it. Great manicure :-)
I do have to watch what manicures I wear to work and what colours I choose. I generally work for a different client each week so if that's the case, on Monday I stick to something safe and then assess whether I can get away with something a bit more striking for the rest of the week ;-)

  3. Girl you hit a sore spot with me on this one. I know with certain jobs you need to be professional, and I tend to keep my polish neutral for work. But I was told by a male colleague that women should only wear clear polish and that's it. I was so offended, as if women who wear anything else are automatically unprofessional? I Had such a hard time after he said that. My hair, clothes, and makeup are all work appropriate, so of I want to wear a gray taupe on my nails, it doesn't automatically mean I'm unprofessional. Grrr. Obviously I got over it. Haha.

Anyway sry about the rant. Love the nails. I need to look into getting some Nubar.

    1. Holy shiz... That sounds so wrong! Makes me wonder if this person has some sort of sovinistic attitude towards women in general. :/ I believe polished nails usually look 100 times better than naked nails/nails with just clear polish. Colored polish can cover a lot of disgusting/not-so-pretty flaws in the nails, imho. Go on, rant for me... I'll rant you right back. ;)

  4. Awww, thank you for the shout out! You know, I have another recommendation for you! ;) I think London Ontario is a lovely place to vacation... perhaps you should buy a ticket and go see it... I know this one girl you could stay there with ;)
(just planting a seed of thought) lol

This pairing is perfect, and as you said, fun but very work appropriate.
At my current job I am allowed to wear nail polish in any shade I wish... however, I wear gloves a lot and do a lot of manual labour so my nails tend to be brittle and chip a lot.
My two cents is as follows, sometimes even vampy well manicured nails can look more stylish and professional than ungroomed/unpainted ones... I don't like how jobs place restrictions on such things

    1. You deserve every shout out you can get and it's true, I bought this because you told me so! lol And be careful what you say to me! I might just as well come for a visit... Is there suitable internship places for a textile designer there? I might stay longer. ;)

It's great how most of the companies allow workers to wear nail polishes! I've never had any negative feedback from my boss/coworkers which is a great thing. Probably helps that I'm not very flashy person otherwise and usually wear simple clothing that's not in your face... Therefore I have the perfect reason to play around with polish.
