Rainbow throw-up!

Good morning lovelies! At first I'm going to apologize for using such a name but it was just... perfect for this manicure. Hope you don't mind. ;) I got inspired by two things when I was planning to this manicure. At first, I'm totally hooked on Maroon5 song "Moves Like Jagger". I'm not a fan of the band but the song somehow got me hooked and It has been cheering my early mornings a lot lately! So a part of my inspiration was the cover of the single. 2nd part of my inspiration was lovely Nicole from Nail Polish Wars with her Rainbow Rows manicure.

Huomenta murut!

For this manicure I decided to use Art Club's Neon set, which also comes with a sealer I didn't use. Unfortunately I was being an idiot and totally forgot the yellow polish! It was knocked over in my Helmer, so I didn't notice it until I started to wonder if this set really was missing a yellow... Just my luck! So I started with a two coats of white polish, then layered the Art Club polishes on top. The lines were very easy to draw with the nail art brushes. Please, don't kill me for incomplete, yellow-missing rainbow. I'm ashamed, I truly am! :(

Nolottaa ihan oikeesti taas. :(

As this kind of manicure was so out of my league (hello, I wear only black), I needed to tone it down a bit. Like Nicole, I went for black. Instead of one accent nail, I went for two! On my ring finger I drew the lines if an M for Maroon5 with black nail polish striper, then filled the rest with black nail polish. On my middle finger, I didn't know what my goal was. I just drew on some random lines, then filled in with the black polish. I was originally going to do a similar design on all fingers but as I'm a nervous wreck and need everything happen like ASAP, I went for black crackle. Crackle is not dead yet, ppl! At least not in my books. ;)

Basecoat: "Nail Envy" by OPI
White base: "Snow White" by Models Own
Rainbow: Art Club Neon Striper set (except neon yellow)
Black: "Black Magic" by Models Own
Crackle: "Black Mesh" by China Glaze
Topcoat: Seche Vite

I've been wearing this manicure sinse Tuesday and it's still almost perfect! I had to do some touching up today but other than that, I got nothing to complain about. This will be a perfect manicure for girls' night out which I'll be enjoying tonight with a dear friend of mine. Hope you ladies will have a great weekend, I'll see you on Saturday, or earlier if you are on Twitter!

    1. Haha, yes, the accent nails look the best and I like them the most as well! I did have some issues so it was better to do just two nails this way. ;)

    1. Thanks, Amanda! This look is fairly simple to redo if you got nail art stripers or a thin brush you can use. Even simplest design can look different under a crackle polish. :)

  7. Could've fooled me (yellow missing, where?). Just perfect combo.

Kiitos muuten kun siirsit taas Moves like Jaggerin mieleen soimaan. :P

    1. Itsellä on soinut toi biisi vähän liian aktiivisesti päässä, mutta tästä sentään tulee hyvä fiilis.... Tosta Reissusta en oo varma. :D

    1. Awh, thank you Katt! I have no secrets, I drew the lines with a stiff nail art brush and with small strokes. I do admit I spent quite a while perfecting the lines. ;)

  13. This is amazing! It reminds me of those pictures we used to do as kids with crayons - coloring all sorts of colors first, then black, then draw a picture by scratching off the black to let the wild colors show through. Very nice!!

    1. Buttons killed my rainbows! Though if I started making all these rules, I wouldn't do anything. You have no idea of the MANY ways I've broken a nail. lol ;)
