OPI Nicki Minaj collection

Good morning ladies! Today I have you guys quick swatches of Nicki Minaj collection. I ordered mine from eBay as it was cheapest option for me. By quick swatches I mean I swatched all of the 6 polishes last night, within four hour time range. Quite a challenge but I work the best under a bit of stress, this only took me three hours. ;) Could say this will be a honest first impression post! This post is quite image heavy but try to bear with me! I wanted to show you all of the colors on their own and also topped with the crackle.

Huomenta! Tänään mulla on teille nopeat swatchit OPIn Nicki Minaj kokoelmasta. Tilasin nämä lakat eBaysta, koska se tuli halvimmaksi vaihtoehdoksi. Mulla oli kaiken kaikkiaan neljä tuntia tehdä swatchit, kuvata, editoida, kirjoittaa postaus ja kääntää se suomeksi. Aika haastavaa, mut selvisin lopulta 3:ssa tunnissa! Mä kai toimin hyvin stressin alaisena. Tää on aika kuvaoksennus, mutta yrittäkää kestää. Halusin näyttää teille sekä lakat yksinään, että cracklen kanssa. :)

Pink Friday

Pink Friday - Three coat

Pink Friday is a dusty light pink creme. Compared to for example Kleancolor's Candy Pink, the dustiness is quite obvious even though it's not as obvious when eyed on its own. This is not the most unique color in the universe but as I don't have a dupe, I don't mind having it in my collection. ;) This polish has a possibility of covering with two coats only but I went for thinner coats and needed three for the opacity.

Pink Friday on hieman tällainen tominen, vaalean pinkki creme. Jos tätä vertaa esimerkiksi Kleancolorin Candy Pinkin kanssa rinnakkain, on toi mustalla taitettu sävy tosi itsestään selvä, vaikka ei sitä silmämääräisesti erota. Tää ei ole se uniikein vaaleanpunainen lakka, mutta koska mulla ei ole tästä dupea, ei se mua haittaa. Tällä lakalla oli mahdollisuudet peittää kahdella kerroksella, mutta mä lisäsin kolmannen.

Dit It On 'Em

Did it On 'Em - three coats

Did It On 'Em is a gorgeous, lime/yellowy green creme. Which I looove! This behaved a bit like a "typical yellow" on the first coat, looked a bit streaky and patchy. As much as I wanted this to be a two-coater, at least on my nails I had to go for three to make it fully opaque. Even with that, I'm willing to forgive and love this one.

Did It On 'Em on aivan upea, lime, keltaiseen vivahtava vihreä creme jota mä rrrakastan. Tää käyttäytyi niin kuin tyypillinen keltainen ekalla kerroksella ja näytti aika rantuiselta sekä epätasaiselle. Niin paljon kuin mä toivoinkin tän olevan kahden kerroksen lakka, tää vaati kaiken kaikkiaan kolme täydelliseen peittävyyteen. Mutta annan sen anteeksi, on tää sen verran upea.

Fly

Fly - two coats

Fly was the one in the collection next to Metallic 4 Life and Did It On 'Em I was truly expecting. This color... I can't put my finger on it if it's a teal or turquoise but I like the color a lot. It reminds me of my beloved Fly High by Rimmel but this is a lot darker and bluer. Application wise this was on the thinner side but quite easy to work with. To my happy surprise this covered beautifully with only two coats!

Fly oli yksi kokoelman lakoista joita todella odoting Metallic 4 Lifen ja Did It On 'Emin ohella. Tää lakka... Mä en osaa sanoa onko tää nyt turkoosi vai mikä, mutta tää muistuttaa mua jonkin verran mun rakastetusta Rimmelin Fly Highista, vaikka tää onkin tummempi ja sinisempi. Koostumukseltaan tää oli hieman ohuempaa, mutta helppo työstää. Iloiseksi yllätykseksi tää myös peitti kahdella kerroksella, vaikka odotin tarvitsevani ainakin kolme.

Save Me

Save Me - three coats

Save Me is probably my worst enemy. This polish is holographic bar glitter and silver microglitter in clear base. If you know me at all or follow me on Twitter, you probably are no stranger to the truth that I hate bar glitter as well as square glitter more than anything. So it was quite surprising I even got this. The microglitter is quite intense to build up almost to a full opacity at three coats but there is still some nail left, so this is better to be layered on top of another color. Even more surprising is that I don't hate this polish. I don't love it either but I think I can get used to it.

Save Me on luultavasti mun isoin vihamieheni. Tää lakka on hologrammista bar-glitteriä ja hopeista microglitteriä kirkkaassa pohjassa. Jos tunnette mua yhtään tai seuraatte mua Twitterissä, varmaan tiedätte, että mä kaiken kaikkiaan vihaan bar-glitteriä sekä neliöglitteriä enemmän kuin mitään muuta. Joten olin itsekin aika yllättynyt, kun päädyin hankkimaan tämän. Vielä yllättyneempi olin siitä, että en vihaa tätä. Tää soveltuu ehkä paremmin kerrostamiseen, mutta halusin kokeilla miltä tää näyttää yksinään. Kolme kerrosta vaadittiin melkein täydelliseen peittävyyteen.

Metallic 4 Life

Metallic 4 Life - three coats

Metallic 4 Life was one of the polishes I expected the most of. It's silver small and bigger hexagon glitter and small square glitter in dark charcoal base. In this one the square glitter is fairly small and easy for me to tolerate, I really had to look extremely close to find the squares Jen from Polishaholic pointed out. I hoped this one would be a bit more metallic as it is in the bottle but on the nails it looks a bit more blacker. This one is still a stunner and dries quite flat on the nails, not gritty. It also left me with quite a few layering ideas!

Metallic 4 Life oli siis yksi lakoista, joita eniten odotin. Tää on pientä ja isoa hopeista kahdeksankulmaista ja neliönmuotoista glitteriä tumman hiilen värisessä pohjassa. Neliöglitteri on iaka pientä ja helppoa sietää, sitä piti etsiä siis suurennuslasin kanssa. Toivoin, että tämä olisi ollut enemmän metallinen niin kuin pullossa, muta kynnellä mustaa näkyy enemmän. Tää on joka tapauksessa valloittava ja kuivuu kohtalaisen tasaisesti kynnelle, ei kovinkaan karkeaksi. Tää toi mukanaan myös kerrostamisideoita!

Super Bass Shatter

Now this one is the first OPI shatter I have ever tried. Super Bass changes it color a bit on top of the different polishes but it is a plum-like, almost vampy purple with fuchsia shimmer. I'm not a big fan of the style how this crackles when applied linear like in the swatches but I do love the shimmer which look good! I'll definitely keep using this as it is the first of its kind in my stash! By the way, this definitely needs a topcoat to make it really pop! I didn't really enjoy this on top of Pink Friday or Did It On 'Em but it looked absolutely stunning on top of Fly. On top of the Save Me and Metallic 4 Life this polish looked quite funky but also a bit restless, and it barely stood out but looked interesting never the less.

Tässäpä on siis viimeisenä, muttei vähäisimpänä ensimmäinen shatter/crackle OPIlta, jonka omistan. Super Bass muuttaa väriään hieman eri värien päällä, mutta pullossa tää on tumma luumu, jossa on kaunista fuksian väristä shimmeriä. En oo kauhean iso fani noihin lineaarisiin halkeilemiin, mutta shimmer näyttää aivan upealta. Varmasti käytän tätä, vaikka crackle-villitys alkaakin olla ohi, koska tää nyt on vaan niin erilainen. En pitänyt miltä tää näytti kahden ekan cremen päällä, mutta yhdistelmä Flyn kanssa on mun ehdoton suosikki. Kahden muun kokoelman lakan päällä tää näytti hieman levottomalle tai sitten ei erottunut juurikaan, mutta näytti kiinnostavalle joka tapauksessa. :)

Overall I think this collection has some hits and misses. Pink Friday almost felt like a filler in this collection but the two other cremes weren't anything special and there are colors similar (but not dupes) to these already released in other collections. Super Bass Shatter, Save Me and Metallic 4 Life are ones worth truly getting as those are unique, at least on my opinion. However, I don't regret buying this collection as a whole as my polish collection is limited and I don't have any of the cremes. :)

Kaiken kaikkiaan tässä kokoelmassa on sekä onnistumisia että epäonnistumisia. Pink Friday tuntui musta lähinnä fillerille eikä kaksi muutakaan cremeä ollut erikoisia ja niiden kaltaisia (joskaan ei samanlaisia) on tullut viime vuosina muissakin kokoelmissa. Super Bass Shatter, Save Me ja Metallic 4 Life ovat ehdottomasti hankinnan arvoisia, jos ne kiehtovat, sillä ne ovat ainakin mun mielestäni omalaatuisia. Loppupeleissä en kuitenkaan kadu minkään lakan hankkimista, sillä mun omasta kokoelmista vastaavia ei löydy. :)
