Good morning ladies! Today I'm taking a different kind of approach to swatching and I'll be reviewing a polish while doing a manicure. When a-england was having -30% promo, I couldn't resist and I had to order six of the shades from a gorgeous Mythicals collection. As this collection is a tad older, I don't feel the need to rush with the swatches so I'll be showing them whenever I use them as a base. :)

Huomenta! Tänään otan hieman erilaisen lähestymistavan swatchaukseen ja kerron lakasta manikyyrin yhteydessä. Vähän aika istten a-englandilla oli -30% promo, enkä tietenkään voinut vastustaa kiusausta, vaan tilasin muutaman lakan itselleni. Koska kokoelma on hieman vanhempi, en kokenut sitä mitenkään tarpeelliseksi tehdä erillistä swatch-postausta näistä, joten kerron lakasta silloin kun satun sitä käyttämään. :)

My inspiration for today's manicure is Minna Parikka's gorgeous boots. Instead of following the fuchsia and red of the boots, I went for fuschia and and lighter purple. I was going to use a-england's Iseult and Guinevere and do the lips by hand to achieve the similar look but  I ended up using a stamp as the hand painting didn't work. I started with two coats of Lancelot which is a gorgeous, blackened red/brown. This polish is absolutely gorgeous as it is almost opaque with one coat. It's the creamiest, easiest polish I have used in this color range. Lancelot simply glides on with ease, almost by itself. The gloss of this polish is unbelievable and if I wasn't doing nail art, I definitely would've left out the topcoat. Even the clean up of this polish was effortless, it didn't stain at all like most colors with similar shade does.

Tämän päivän inspiraationa toimi Minna Parikan jumalaiset kengät. Sen sijaan että olisin seurannut fuksiaa ja punaista, kokeilin fuksiaa ja vaaleanviolettia. Alunperin tarkoituksena oli käyttää a-englandin Iseultia ja Guinevereä ja tehdä huulet käsin, mutta päädyin lopulta käyttämään stamppia. Aloitin kahdella kerroksella Lancelotia, joka on ihana mustapunainen. Punaisuus/burgundimaisuus ei todellakaan näy kynsillä näin, mutta ensimmäisellä kerroksella se näkyi. Lakka peitti melkein täydellisesti ekalla kerroksella, mutta lisäsin kaksi. Tää oli ehdottomasti cremein ja helpoin lakka, jota olen tässä sävyssä käyttänyt. Lisäksi tämän lakan poisto on helppoa, eikä se sotke kynsinauhoja. Jos en olisi tehnyt stamppauksia, en olisi varmaan käyttänyt päällyslakkaa ollenkaan, niin kiiltävä tämä lakka on.

After the polish was dry, I took the stamping plate and stamped the zipper using China Glaze's Millennium here and there randomly. For the lips I used China Glaze Adore and Mistletoe Me! on the design and followed the same pattern I did with zipper, I didn't plan it that much. A coat of Seche Vite and the design was done. :)

Kun lakka oli kuiva, stamppasin vetoketjun China Glazen Milleniumilla sinne tänne. Huulissa on ChG:n Adore ja Mistletoe Me!, joita laitoin toista alahuulelle ja toista ylähuulelle. Samoin kuin vetoketjun kanssa, en juurikaan suunnitellut miten huulet asettelen ja sen tiimoilta tästä ehkä tulikin näin kiva. Kerros Seche Viteä ja homma oli sitä myöten selvä. :)
