Good morning! It's time for a manicure! I won't call this "nail art" as it's just stamping... :) When I received Marta's gift, I was so full of ideas! I absolutely had to try out a manicure to honor her and the beautiful friendship. I went for the color that I fell in love with instantly, Zombie Zest. I wish I tried this polish on the nail wheel before I went for adding it on my nails as this polish was oh so sheer. I think I used about 5 coats to get it somewhat opaque! If I knew this before hand, I so would have layered this... After all the layers, I applied a coat of Seche Vite, then a coat of Tarnished Gold, then another coat of SV, the stamp and ANOTHER coat of SV. So in total I have NINE coats of polish on my nails! Luckily it all dried out fast.
Huomenta!
Even though this manicure is fairly simple, I'm so much in love with it. I love love love how the golden glitter of Zombie Zest is enhanced by golden crackle... And the black stamp sort of brings it all together. I love how subtle the stamp is on the nails... Subtle yet it brings something extra for the basic crackle mani. :)
Vaikka tää lakkaus on varsin yksinkertainen, oon ihan myyty. :)

Blog Gadgets

ReplyDeleteCari: Thank you so much for taking a moment to comment! Twitter is amazing thing... I've made so many gorgeous friends there during this year. :)
ReplyDeleteKivat :)
ReplyDeleteRose: Kiitos :)
ReplyDeleteThis is so cool!! :D Great colour combo! I had no idea how nice gold would look with Zombie Zest (hahah what a funny name! XD). I really like the black stamp accent you added.
ReplyDeleteAshesela: You're such a sweetheart! Call me weird but I didn't have any other choice but to pair ZZ (lol) with a golden polish! I have that issue with green quite often, I'd rather see it combined with warmer metallic tones than colder ones. :)
ReplyDeleteSalla this is absolutely GORGEOUS!!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry to hear that it took a record breaking number of layers to complete this gorgeousness but it was SOOO WELL WORTH IT!
Wow, the gold an green pairing is genius and that little black stamp is just perfect! love it!
Marta: Thank you sweetheart! I don't really blame the polish for the extra coats but my claws! Even though my nails aren't longest out there, they take quite amount of polish! And I might just as well do too thin coats. ;)
