Kleancolor swatches V

Good morning! I know I promised this post to be online yesterday but I had minor setbacks with my camera... As in I accidentally deleted few swatch photos I thought I had edited already, so I had to take them again. I'm such a failure. Haha.

Anyway, let's move on to the Kleancolor swatches again! Today I have you few polishes which didn't fit in any category posts I made earlier.

Melon Green - three coats
Melon Green
Let's start with Melon Green, lovely limeish green I fell in love with when I saw it in the bottle. Even though my love is usually lasting type, now my heart was torn in two. Melon Green is gorgeous color and the shimmer is blinding... However this gorgeous thing is quite sheer. First coat was barely visible on the nails but the color built up decently. As you can see, even after three coats there is some VNL issues, so this probably would have needed a fourth coat to be perfectly opaque. However, I still love this color, so I will probably try layering it on top of white the next time I use it.

Pearl Jungle - two coats
Pearl Jungle
Next we have Pearl Jungle, mid-tone green with blue undertones with glass-flecked vibe in it. The pigmentation of the polish was nice, so I left it to two coats, however now after seeing the photo, I should've added a third coat! This polish has such a beautiful shade in it! I don't really see lushy jungle when look at this polish but more like christmas trees. This will probably be my go-to green during the holiday season!

Cobalt - two coats
Cobalt
Cobalt is a gorgeous royal blue with lovely shimmer in it! When I first rolled the bottle in my hands, it reminded me a lot of Essie's Aruba Blue I received few months ago. First coat of Cobalt was a huge disappointment for me, the polish was so so so sheer! However, it was a lovely surprise to see that the polish fixed the sheerness on 2nd coat which was all it needed. Two coats of shiny blue perfection. Love love love.

Charcoal - two coats
Charcoal
Hello gorgeous! Charcoal, the name says it all. Do I need to decribe this color more? lol Well anyway, Charcoal is a nice, cold-toned dark grey with silver shimmer. This polish was pretty close to perfection, it glided on like nothing and it was almost perfect with just one coat. I did two coats to make it even better. On the pinky you can see how this polish looks like when dry, it's not that shiny as many of the other colors I've swatched but it definitely fits to the charcoaly theme.

Holo Chrome - four coats
Holo Chrome
Next polish on the list is Holo Chrome which is gorgeous purple and holographic micro glitter in light purple jelly base. This one looks so gorgeous I could eat it! However I was disappointed with the sheerness of this polish. I started with two thin layers of the polish which barely stained my nails. I did plan to see how many thin coats it would take for this polish to build up but I got tired only after two coats as it seemed to be an endless process. So I added another thick coat of Holo Chrome on the nails and then another thin coat. So it took three thin coats and one thick coat to get this result on the swatch photo. As you can see, the polish is still showing VNL... Best way to use this polish is definitely to layer it on top of something else to avoid the massive usage of this!

Madly Matte on top Urban-Night - one coat
Madly Matte
On top of these polishes, I also got myself a topcoat called Madly Matte. I've been in search of new matte topcoat as the one I have (Mavala) is quite chunky and hard to deal with. I swatched Madly Matte on top of China Glaze's Urban-Night. In my honest opinion the result doesn't look like matte at all, more like semi-matte. The result reminds me a bit of leather. I'm a bit disappointed as I was looking for a full matte topcoat... But I don't think this one will be left without using either.

Chunky Holo Clover, Teal, Candy, Bluebell and Purple
Next we have these five polishes! Chunky Holos! As it figures, I didn't swatch these ones. At first I had the idea of swatching them on their own, over white and over black. It seemed a bit stupid as all of these look pretty much same on top of black (except Candy). If you are interested on seeing swatch photos on one of these, I will gladly do them on request. :)

So that's all for the Kleancolor swatches! I hope you have enjoyed all these five massive posts and hopefully they have been helpful! I will try to get another blog post up later today showing some dupes I found when I was rummaging through my Helmer.

Ps. What is your favorite in this post? :)

  4. I'm glad you had the same experience with Madly Matte, I was starting to think it was just my bottle. Mine dries the same way, not totally matte, and it also takes FOREVER to dry. I will paint it over completly dry nails and a few hours later it still smudges super easily.
