Kleancolor swatches part I

Good morning beautiful ladies. Today I'm beginning a new serie here on the blog that will take about two weeks. I know a lot of you are waiting for nail art posts but I still need to let you down. :( I've been extremely busy at school, only two weeks before the autumn break and my schedule is so full I hardly have enough time to sleep. I'm doing full days at school and working on Saturdays, in fact I'm wearing the same manicure for the 2nd week already! That's telling a lot.

A while ago I ordered 20 Kleancolor polishes from eBay. The seller was extremely lovely, I haven't had such a pleasant transaction for a while. There was a bit hassle with the shipping cost, the seller made a mistake and gave me a wrong details. When I pointed this out, she gave me the shipping with lower cost than it actually was. Because the refund, the shipping got delayed. A week after the order the seller contacted me and apologized for the delay and let me choose another 10 polishes free of charge. I was very very happily surprised as I have ordered a lot of stuff from Hong Kong when the shipping can take a month. Of course, I didn't say no to free polish. ;)

Few weeks ago I swatched all 30 Kleancolor polishes and decided I might just as well post swatches of all of the polishes on here. For the next two or three weeks I will be only posting the swatches, 4 polishes at the time. I hope you find this helpful! I also noticed few of the polishes are similar to other brand colors I own, for example Models Own, which is hard to get if you live outside Europe. I will mention the possible dupes, so let me know if you want to see a comparison on some of them!

Without further do, let's get going! Swatches are after the jump. :)

Barbie Pink - 2 coats
Barbie Pink
I'm starting with the bright, pastel-like cremes and the first one I picked up was called "Barbie Pink". This polish surely lives up to its name! Can you remember the plastic little pink shoes Barbie used to have in the beginning of 90s? This reminds me of those! This polish was on a thicker side and because of that, it was almost one coater, which made me wonder if this would be a good for stamping. Barbie Pink dried semi-shiny, it wasn't a full matte. I'm so loving this color.

Mango - three coats

Mango
Hello, you perfect halloween polish! I don't know whether it's the season or the shade it self, this made me think of pumpkins and everything halloweenish. Mango was so much easier to work with than Barbie Pink. It was a lot thinner and spread evenly, however the first coat was very streaky which made me wonder if this would work. Luckily the polish evened itself out but it did need three coats for full coverage. The finish was the same as in Barbie Pink.

Bikini Green - three coats

Bikini Green
At first, when I saw the name of this one, I was literally thinking "what the hell?" Bikinis that would be almost neon minty green? Then I remembered, my mom had a bikini close to this color back in the beginning of 90s. Apparently the name is very suitable indeed. ;) This polish had the same texture in it as Mango, it was a bit on the thin side which made the first coat streaky but 2nd one evened it out. Two coats was almost perfect but I went for 3rd one to make it purrfect. I'm literally in love with this polish.

Beach Blue - two coats

Beach Blue
The last one of today's polishes is called Beach Blue. I'm not sure if beach has everything to do with this, as the color reminds me more of bright, clear sky than beach. The first coat floated on like a dream but it was a bit sheerish, I was happily surprised that 2nd coat was all it took for this to be opaque. I love this color but it's making my skintone look a bit murky. It's gorgeous, never the less.

That's all for today's swatches! More swatches will be coming on Wednesday. See you then! :)

  8. Maria: I'm loving it, too! However, I just kept thinking about pumpkins when I swatched Mango. I blame the coming halloween!

peripatetic33: Thank you so much! :)

Peace, Love and Polish: Thank you! I was surprised my camera was on good mood and I managed to get these swatches done. They are all shot indoors in a lamp light, so hearing it's color accurate really makes my day. :)

Deborah: I went all in with the Kleancolor polishes. I've noticed quite long drying time on some of the polishes I have worn for longer than the swatch photos. I will make a conclusion post once I got all the swatches done, which gives me some more time to experience with the drying time.

    rock-or-not: Thank you!

Toyomi: It's a definite hit polish of this swatch post. Love it, too!
