Today I'm introducing you the girls that will be answering to your questions on blog carnival. I asked all of the girls to write little introductions about themselves and how they got into doing their nails and sharing their creations on the internet. I divided the introduction to two part, the next part will follow in 15 minutes. :)
Without further delay, let's move on! The first two girls are Deniz (Emerald Sparkled) and Erika (Chloe's Nails)!

Deniz
I'm a 25 year old girl from Turkey, who just loves painting and decorating her nails. It all started about two years ago, when I suddenly got inspired to do a zebra manicure. I only had about five polishes back then, and I didn't have the faintest idea what konad was. I wanted to do a pink and black zebra design, and I started looking for tutorials. That's how I discovered Konad, and I was simply amazed at the brilliance and simpicity of the idea.
The next day, I was returning home with 5 plates, I felt like a new door of possibilities was opening in front of me. But I had a small problem, I didn't have any nail polish! Soon it was clear that I didn't only need new polishes, but every color of the rainbow in every finish. So I started taking care of my nails, collecting polishes from around the world, experimenting with konad.

For almost 8 months, I didn't think of starting a blog. But then I started to feel like I needed to share the creativity & become a part of the nail blogger universe. So I started my blog on October 21st, 2009. It was not a life changing experience, but it's a great part of me, I can explain myself with manicures, if not with words, and that makes me happy. As much as I enjoy a good manicure & being inspired, I love inspiring people with my ideas. That helps with my creativity, too. Sometimes it floods me, I feel like I don't have enough nails. And sometimes I'm quiet, and ideas build up till my next outburst.
I don't think I have a specialty manicure, but I enjoy thematic manicures & matching skittles, I enjoy both extravagance and minimalism the same =) Which one I choose rather depends on my mood that day. I really enjoy being a part of this project, as well as the nail blogger universe =) I can't wait for the questions to come!

Erika
Hey everyone, my name is Erika from Chloe's Nails. If you don't know by now, my blog is named after my little girl, who is slowly becoming a polish addict herself, at the tender age of 8, lol.
I started doing my own nails around the age of 15, and this is when I also started using Scotch tape. I really only did regular french manicures, and have slowly over the years expanded my tape designs and color choices, as you guys may have noticed.
About 2 years ago I stumbled upon Makeupalley, while looking for some makeup reviews, and that is when I discovered they also had a board dedicated just to nails! I was thrilled.
The ladies on there are all so sweet and are the ones who opened my eyes to just how many colors and finishes there actually were in the world. I also blame them for my stash. I now consider myself a collector of polish too. Since I joined there, my stash has grown from about 10, which I considered a lot, to over 1000 now, eeeek! Thank goodness I have an amazing husband who now makes appearances in my blog every so often, and he loves it, lol.
Anyways, while on Makeupalley, I would post my pictures, and started getting asked if I had a blog, and at the time I didn't. After about a year, I decided to go ahead and give it a try. That is how Chloe's Nails, got it's start. I'm so glad I did it too. I've met some amazing people through my blog, and also been able to add some polishes to my collection that I never thought I would own, and it's all because of them.
I guess I am most known for my tape manis. I just love doing them, and discovering new ways to use just plain old tape, to spice up a mani. I am just beyond amazed to see how far my blog has come in less than a year, and I owe it to all my followers/readers and fellow bloggers. You guys are the ones that keep me going, and I thank you so much!
XOXO Erika
